Identifying your Vermont Castings Stove

What model stove do I have?

This is probably the most common question that we are asked. Vermont Castings has quite a few different stove models. What makes this even more confusing are the different versions of the same models. Take for instance the Encore 2550 or Encore 2040. How do you know what version you have? Typically the best way to get this info is to check the tag on the back of the stove. It will have a model name, and a four digit model number. Anytime you are ordering parts for VC you want to make sure you are using the name and model number together. Failure to do so may result in parts that don’t fit, or aren’t used in your model.
